Q: Can more than one family member in the same household have an account? Can my friend and I play from the same computer?
A: Yes, with pleasure. Each player is only allowed one player account. Two people can play at the same time from the same household, but not at the same table. This is a way to avoid collusion.

A: If you have lost your password or username click on lost password or please contact support@RedDragonMahjong.com.

A: Make sure that you are logged in to My Account pages.

A: To play Mahjong at Red Dragon Mahjong you’ll need to download and install the free software: It can be downloaded simply, securely and easily. Click on Download button.
Q: How do I download the Mahjong software?
A: Just click on the download button at any page on the Red Dragon Mahjong site.
Q: What are the system requirements for my computer if I want to play?
A: The minimum system requirements needed to run the Mahjong software are:
Windows 98, ME, 2000 , XP or Vista
200MHz processor or faster
64MB of RAM
800 x 600 pixel screen resolution
16-bit ("High Colour")
Sound card (if you desire audio)
20MB or greater free disk space
Most computers purchased within the past 5 years will meet these above requirements.
Q: I downloaded the software but now I can't find it.
A: If you downloaded the software but forgot where you saved it, Just go to Start-->Find-->File or Folders and type in “RedDragonsetup.exe” in the "Named:" box. When you find it, simply double click and the installation wizard will start!
Q: I installed the software. Where do I go to start playing?
A: Once you have downloaded the software, locate the Red Dragon Mahjong icon on your desktop and click on it. Or click on "Start" and find it under Red Dragon Mahjong program
Q: Do I need to go to the web site each time I want to play?
A: No, you just have to click on the Red Dragon Mahjong icon on the desktop and it will automatically connect you so you can start playing.

Q: What should I do if I suspect that another player is cheating?
A: If you suspect a player is trying to cheat please contact us with the players screen name and if possible any hand numbers in which they may have been involved. Please send as many details relating to the event as you possibly can and we will take appropriate action.

Q: What is the commission to the house?
A: Red Dragon Mahjong is a Mahjong room, not a casino. That means that you play against other players over the internet, not against the house. We receive compensation by taking a "commission", as a small fixed fee or a % of the net win depending on game type.
Single hand 10% of net win
Full Game 15% of net win
Multi table tournament: Fee for each tournament of 10% of the buy in up to a $500 buy in. Above $500 buy in the fee remains fixed at $50.
Q: What are your chat rules?
A: Players engaging in offensive chat will be subject to a chat warning or a suspension of their chat privileges. Chat that is not permitted on Red Dragon Mahjong includes (but is not limited to):
Profanity: Profane, vulgar, racist or abusive/insulting chat is not allowed.Certain profane or otherwise unacceptable words are asterisked out. Players attempting to bypass the filter may be subject to a warning or suspension of chat privileges.
Begging/Solicitation: We do not permit players to beg or solicit for tiles, whether play money or real money. No solicitation is permitted in any Mahjong game at any time. There are facilities in place to prevent many instances of solicitation.
Flooding: The sending of multiple and frequent messages to the chat window in order to drown out legitimate chat is forbidden.
Non-English chat: English is not the first language for many players. However, at this time on most tables English is the only language allowed to be used in Red Dragon Mahjong chat. On a small number of tables and in a small number of regional tournaments, chat may be allowed in a particular language and in English. These tables and tournaments will be clearly labelled. If you are not comfortable with non-English chat, please do not join these tables or tournaments.
Q: I don't like my chosen Avatar. Can I change it?
A: Yes, you may change your image by selecting "Select/Change Image" from the Account menu.
Tournaments
Q: Where can I view upcoming Mahjong tournaments?
A: You may view upcoming Mahjong tournaments by selecting the Tournament tab in the Main Lobby. You will see all Mahjong tournaments in progress (“Running”), recently completed Mahjong tournaments (“Completed”), and Mahjong tournaments which begin soon (“Registering” or “Announced”).
Q: How do I register for a Mahjong tournament?
A: If a Mahjong tournament is in the "Registering" state, highlight that tournament by clicking on it and then click on the Tournament Lobby button. Once the Tournament Lobby screen opens, click on Register. You will need to log-in if you have not already done so for this session.
